Donate

The donation drive is live. Your support helps route emergency aid toward people affected by the Venezuela earthquakes through practical, accountable relief channels.

The goal is simple: gather support quickly, move it toward food, water, medical care, shelter, communications, and local delivery, then publish reporting clear enough for donors to understand where help went.

All donations from this drive will be routed through the Yummy Initiative, exchanged for local currency, and used to support people on the ground in Venezuela with urgent relief needs. Proofs, updates, receipts, and relevant information will be published through Carlota Fang.

Minimum donation: $1. Stablecoin donations are sent as USDC/USDT. ETH donations send the USD equivalent at the current market price.

About

On June 24, 2026, two large earthquakes struck northern Venezuela within seconds of each other. Early public reporting described a magnitude 7.2 foreshock followed by a magnitude 7.5 mainshock, with severe shaking across areas including Caracas, La Guaira, Miranda, Carabobo, Aragua, Trujillo, and Yaracuy.

Disasters do not hit everyone equally. Venezuela was already strained by years of corruption, economic breakdown, politicized institutions, failing public services, and a humanitarian emergency that pushed millions into the diaspora. When buildings fall, the damage is not only concrete and steel; it is also the missing ambulance, the empty pharmacy, the unreliable power grid, the unpaid rescue worker, and the family abroad trying to confirm whether anyone is alive.

The information environment has made the emergency worse. X, formerly Twitter, has been blocked in Venezuela since August 2024 across major internet providers, and many independent news sites and digital tools have faced restrictions. During an earthquake, censorship is not an abstract political issue: information tells people where to find shelter, which hospitals are operating, which roads are closed, and how the diaspora can locate family members.

This campaign exists because relief cannot depend on opaque institutions alone. Miladys for Venezuela is a focused community drive for emergency aid, independent reporting, and practical delivery to people affected by the earthquakes.
